As Sqad says, a 'no deal' Brexit is likely to result in a big fall in the value of the pound. However a deal which preserves the key elements of the customs union would almost certainly see a fairly sharp initial rise in the value of the pound but probably with it then falling back somewhat again afterwards.

How will the pound do over 12 m - is very strongly tied to how Brexit goes. Sterling jumped today as it looked as tho EU might consider Brexit speciale
if we could tell - we would be on the money markets making a fortune - so not such a strange question
