I have only 15% of internet left with BT and this has to do me for 9 days - am not too sure but I think they will charge me £1.60 for a "byte" if I go over my limit. I get 15mg a month.

Is there a way of cutting down and where am i going wrong with using the "bytes". The only thing I have been doing a lot of this month is youtubing. Has this used the "bytes" up - sorry for the many questions.

Don't BT do on-line chat? I thought most utilities did nowadays.

thanks for all the info but when you are truly and truly deef (deaf) - you are solely reliable on other people who are not (completely) not techie at all - so getting a friend to ring on your behalf is a result in itself.

LB - I have been chatting to them all week and got loads of good results but obviously the "chatters" can't do anything - you "MUST" ring them like i think it is called Value for Money (150) in the olden days. - - terrible for the most deaf and the most alone -ie my friend rung them.

I just thank God I have friends and siblings who will do the necessary phone calls if I ask them.
Did BT not send you an email or text outlining the details of your new contract? If not then, if I were you jj, I would ring the complaints department ( which is UK based) and say you have just signed a new 18 month contract and, at £40 per month, you assumed it would be for unlimited broadband. Now you have had a warning about a 15gb limit - has there been a mistake? And see what they say.
