Your serving with the regiment, the regiment is Not serving with you. Fall in line, or, fall out.

ANOTHEOLDGIT, not sure why you mentioned the Nazis but Sikhs have worn turbans whilst flying in the RFC in WWI and the RAF in WWII. One flew without a helmet even though it caused lung damage.

Three guesses.
I couldn't care less what he wears on his head during ceremonial duties. Any person who joins our armed forces and is prepared to put his life on the line for the sake of his and our country has my utmost respect. IF and only if his religious beliefs puts others in danger then I might do so.
well we didnt mind Indians fighting in the trenches of the Great War

now quickly we rewrite history to fit our prejudices ....
^That was my first thought when I saw this question
If he'd been out of sight flying one of those Tornados in the Fly Past I think we all know that he would have been wearing the essential helmet with all the essential communications and aircraft interface gizmos built into it, likewise with attack helicopters, tanks etc.
Where I used to work ( some years ago ), in the foundry company introduced the policy of the wearing of hard hats ( you know elf and safety and all that ), the Sikhs were exempt from this Soooo turbans must be harder that hard hats I should imagine.
Don't have to wear crash helmet's when riding a motorcycle either.

Do this in trenches & youre dead!

Ahem, he was marching at Trooping the Colour.
I refer to their claim of action in war trenches
It's not a claim it happened.
I give up.
