Magnifier Needed For Reading
21 Answers
I have brought home tons of old postcards from my voluntary job. The oldest is from 1903!
My plan is to value them and then to upload them onto the charity' s online sales site.
Alas many of them have writing, in swirly text and are in foreign languages. My eyesight is blurred slightly and I struggle to see the text.
I would like to purchase a magnifying mirror but nothing too expensive. Amazon seem to have thousands and I have no idea of what to buy. Help.

Just wander into Poundland/Boots whoever with one of your postcards and try the various strength reading glasses to see which are best for you. Reading glasses are only magnifying glasses in a convenient frame which will leave you with both hands free. They'll be a lot cheaper than buying a lens too.
I may as well if my cards now that I'm here
