Gah! Yet another good series that came to a really unsatisfactory end. It just petered out with many issues unresolved, and quite obviously setting things up so there can be another series. Very disappointing, as the writing, acting and directing had been so good up to the last episode, with characters we got to know and care about. I invested over 12 hours in this - j'en ai marre!

Oh no - still got 4 episodes to watch. I shall persevere nevertheless.
I thought everything was reasonably well tied up, what did you think was unsatisfactory (plot-wise) ?

Well, for a start: what Laure - last seen running across some fields (eh?) - will do about her baby and her relationship with Gilou; Josephine Karlsson's impending trial for murder: has Tintin really gone for good; does Roban recover from his brain problem and get his job back; the black guy involved with the boxing club got double-crossed and arrested, but what then happened to him and the CCTV footage he had incriminating Gilou re stealing the gold....
1. It is my opinion that Laure has forgone any plans to take up her baby - that's why she ran from the hospital.
2. She will continue her relationship with Gilou

(Sorry, being called away, will return later)
I can remember plays on BBC with a proper plot & good storylines, now I'm afraid I wait in vain.
First time I have watched this. I loved it. Obviously it will carry in the next series. I can't wait.
Back!
3. Josephine's ex-boss (who is keen on her) has said if she tells him the truth, which she did, and he said he would get her off, remember it is only her victim's word against hers - there is no evidence forensic or cctv. He was such a bar-steward having raped others that he will himself be accused and Josephine (my favourite) will get away with it.

4. Gilou's farewell to Tintin outside his home on the phone, touched his heart - vodka and tears- and he will return to the team.

5. Roban has decided to have the operation and he will survive and return to normal.

6. Gilou had got the tape off the surviving black guy with a promise of leniency from Roban, but Roban had to leave the case, so the black guy got rightly shafted.

Khandro, that is what you THINK will happen if there's another series. My point was that after 12 hours of drama these things should have been resolved, and not left up to us to guess the outcome.
Well, if you want a, "and they all lived happily ever after" ending, you shouldn't watch Spiral.
Question Author
Who said I want a 'happily ever after ending'? Not me. I just wanted an ending.
I thoroughly enjoyed the whole series. I agree about Laure just running off but think she suddenly realised the enormity of what she was taking on. I think, as has been said, it was left like that so that they could write another series. Also, as a huge bonus, my French has improved considerably.
oh I have only got up to the bit where they have 'replaced' the gold in the fridge ( mon dieu ! )
and slapped about the whitish kid wiv dreadlocks in the car.
who owns the phone shop

and he has just ended up dead - Gilou has just secreted Laure in the fridge or somewhere and gone out wivviz girl for a drink.

from your comments I will have to persist to the very end
I also liked the maitres Karlsson and Edelmann's
badinaaage....

she's a maitre and not maitresse innit ?

and hey if I get indicted for anything - declare coupable - I know how to address the leddy judge - Mme La presidente....
