Well her family claims she has been double crossed but it appears that she was told she was pardoned to early as the pardon 'list' had not yet been signed off.
I have made my thought on this crime known before and I don't think she should get out so soon!
I heard a piece on the news today about how much the NHS is missing out on due to gangs smuggling NHS drugs out of the country - exactly what this young lady did - yet there are some that think this lady was just niave!
What are you thoughts ? Has she been doublecrossed?

can't see how she has been double crossed, she knowingly took drugs to a foreign country. She had a duty of care to check first if it was legal.
sorry got cut off there....
she either did it hoping to get away with it or she's a but slow on the uptake. The results are however the same.

Her family claim she was double crossed because she was told she was being pardoned - but it appears she was never being pardoned!
The family insist she has done nothing wrong!

TTT on the basis that she travels to Egypt 4 times a year I suspect its not the first time!
She has done something wrong. They are prescription drugs. I would never take drugs into another country without the supporting prescription. She was seriously daft.
She knew what she was doing ..she got caught ...she got the drugs off a friend. ..if you do the crime and get caught do the time!!
She broke the law in Egypt so she should not be pardoned. Ignorance of the law (if she was) is not a defence.
The tablets are not illegal in the UK, but her method of obtaining them was dodgy. They are a prescribed drug, but the friend who gave/sold her the tablets is keeping her mouth shut. Presumably because of some criminality.
Exotic, tanned foreigner lures idiot Brit to his bed then talks her into smuggling drugs while professing his undying love for aforementioned dullard.
I'm surprised how we haven't yet heard about life savings being sent to help in her plight then mysteriously evaporating.

Honestly, these swarthy types must be some swordsmen.

Don't blame the bloke Douglas - this bird did it all herself!
I'm not blaming him, it's his way, he knows nothing else.
Glad she's not been pardoned.

I can understand their disappointment at being given false hop - she'll have to sit it out.
You should never assume anything, wait until you've seen it in writing. Who told the family about the pardon, somebody over the garden fence. As per previous threads,Humberside Police are investigating her supplier.
Watch out for those false hops Mamya, they can sneak up on you and spoil your beer.
Sorry for the typo.
Oh well, never mind, how very sad............

blame the dack !

anyone notice that the hubby was saying she would be pardoned and the Embassy said that it was the first they had heard of it.

Egyptians like other civil servants saying anything to get you out of the room - so "pardon- saturday-yeah!" could mean anything including no-pardon.

Usually a pardon means that you accept you've done the crime - and this would be appropriate here. I doubt if she were ever on the pardonable list.
