The link I've just found looks as if it might be one which is only valid for a short time so, instead of posting it here, I'll ask you to google 'bt cloud' and click on the first link found. That takes you to a login page, where you'll see links to 'Forgotten BT ID' and 'Forgotten Password'. See where clicking on those gets you.

Thank you Buenchico..I'll try that now..
Strange. I've always figured putting files in a cloud, rather than my own kit, made them more vulnerable.

Good luck.
The mystery with cloud storage is why anybody uses it in the first place ?

I have a 2 terabyte external drive, about the size of a cigarette pack. Its entirely and easily portable, and I can access it when I am halfway up a mountain if I want, and I don't have to scrabble around trying to find a wifi connection. I can switch it between any of my various devices, whenever I wish.
Mikey - I think people use it for the convenience of not having to take even a small drive with them and the fact that it can't be lost or stolen and (hopefully) is well backed-up automatically.
Can you connect a cellphone or a tablet to an external drive? (I don't have one, so I don't know).
Having said that, I'm with you - prefer to have my backups on (several) hard drives.
