I have a dull aching pain in my lower right abdomen which comes and goes. (for the past few days)Today I passed a lot of dark red blood on the toilet. Not too concerned, as ive passed blood before and it turned out to be piles (which were cauterized) and also posted about a similar pain in lower right abdomen about a year ago which turned out to be nothing. But the two thing happening again together is a bit worrying. If it keeps happening will get in to see my GP but don't want to waste their time or mine at the mo. Any ideas/advice?
No other symptoms, not nauseaus, sweating or anything. Have had unusual bowl movements tho, yesterday I was constipated, today I havnt been off the toilet (been 6 times up until now)
Thanks.

Thanks volty, I'm not concerned enough to visit A&E, as Ive said, ive had similar things in the past which turned out to be polyps on the first occasion and piles the second time, and got no other symptons such as fever or nausea.
^^^^^ Because the left lower side of abdomen is a common site for malignancy if one combines the symptoms of rectal bleeding.
The right lower side of the abdomen contains the caecum and appendix, which are far less commoner sites for malignancy and not easy to explain with the rectal bleeding.
that is a very general analysis IF you want to connect the rectal bleeding with the pain as ONE diagnosis.
anything can and does happen in medicine...;-)
right for appendix ? I always thought it was on the left !! EEK !
some are a right pain in the a**e !! ;0)
I had a bad pain on lower left when I had diverticulitis 10 years ago. It may be something, it may be nothing, but you should go and get it checked out Nailit. That's what doctors are for.
Sam.....nailit's pain is on the RIGHT hand side.
Ah, so it is Sqad.
