Does it bother anyone else that this couple seem so unsure about everything? They have moved in together as have her children, then are buying a house together but the mention of a joint bank account or possibly using a room as a nursery makes them swap nervous unsure looks. Oh and yes, i know its just an ad.

nope it dosent bother me at all .. the thought of getting a joint account with my husband of five years, who i was seeing for 8 years before fills me with dread, and i laugh nervously anytime he mentions it.... just as he goes completely mute when i mention children!
I always think the same thing when i see those ads too CarolG. Also, have you noticed when they look at eachother, it's like they're complete strangers.

That's what i mean ems27 - i understand not everyone wants a joint bank account and the topic of children scares plenty of people but its more the way they pass nervous looks like the subject is taboo. It is as if they have just met..
I thought he sounded a little bitter in the last one where the girl wanted to ring her real dad in America too - "Yeah - You call your Dad" - Oo-er!
People that think the same as me - hurrah!

She annoys me - she's moved her kids in (no probs with that at all), but then she looks at him like he is a child as well - "ooh, i'm just setting up a joint account for us both, on your laptop, and i'm using your bank details - and yes, you're looking at me like i haven't even discussed it with you first - nice work eh?!"
I so love ads.

I wanna know what job he does that he could afford that huge house before she and the kids moved in.

I think he was an actor...in My Family I think.........hahahahhaa! LOL!
I want to know why someone who was meant to be about 20 in My Family is suddenly meant to be about 35 in an ad made just a couple of years later. Ages you quickly, this acting lark. :-)
Yeah I hate those ads. And I agree they are a completely unconvincing couple. Plus that woman, with her round-eyed moony face, has always irritated me. She played Tom's whingey partner in series 1 of Spooks.

What really irks me is when the bloke has hung those sacks to store the girl's toys in, the smug little brat empties it all back on to the floor while everyone else, including pudding-faced mum, smirk. If only it then cut to the next scene in which the girl and her mum & siblings are all stuffed inside the hanging sacks while the fed-up My Family bloke uses the special BT package to order in some take-aways and escort services.

Oh and, yes, I too know it's only an ad (though you probably wouldn't guess it).
