Gay Prisoners

Its been a long time since I was a guest of Her Majesty but my sons mate is currently a guest at the prison in the link above.
1) For how long have homosexual prisoners been given condoms?
2) Does this mean that sexual behaviour in prisons is condoned now?
3) Are heterosexual been discriminated against?

(BTW, my sons mate is bisexual but has never mentioned anything about this when he's phoned...will have to find out more when he's released in a couple of weeks.)

I have no idea how long condoms have been supplied to gay prisoners.
But I am sure that prison authorities must always have realised that they were never going to stop anal sex in the nick as long as the prisoners were consenting.
The cons must be desperate if they are smoking nicotine patches and tea leaves. Makes my eyes water just thinking about the smoke/smell.
Are they allowed nicotine inhalators instead of patches?

EDDIE, no idea mate, all I know is what my sons mate tells me. Never mentioned inhalers. He says that hes on patches but still cant wait to get out and have a proper smoke (which will probably consist of some illegal substances anyway...)

By the way, condoms should also be used for oral sex and many 'straight' men indulge in this activity in prison and don't consider themselves to be gay.

However, in all the times that ive been in prison (and the different prisons that ive been in) Ive never once come across a straight man who would indulge in oral sex with another man. Its a myth similar to the no bending over in the showers type thing. It doesn't happen.
