wait for it
I've always said we're too soft ....
Our Police were given the authority to 'shoot to kill' terrorists in April of this year.
You can't "ask questions" of a corpse and interrogating a suspect is of the utmost importance.
It is essential to catch them......alive if possible.

If this driver would have been shot as soon as seen, it would have saved a lot of lives Sqad.
What Sqad says
Indeed it would TWR, but how many would have been saved in the future if you could have got the villain to spill the beans.
agree with Sqad.
Too true he was right.
I doubt that modern interrogation tactics would wear down a true believer so what would be the point of taking them alive?

Were the three terrorists involved in the London Bridge attack not shot dead? Doesn't sound too soft to me.
Common sense from Sqad at 17:02.
If the Spanish shoot to kill, why are there Basque terrorists in gaol?
Corby.......because , they missed.
I am not sure Britain is any less 'soft'. I am happy to leave it to the police to decide whether to shoot, and whilst I can see the advantages in questioning these peopel i think it could create problems if they remain on the scene. But I'm not sure the shoot first policy is a deterrent- it didn't put off the Barcelona terrorist- and maybe some of them want to be killed so they can go to wherever they think they will go
Think your question through, read Sqads first reply and then rethink your question.

Hope you had a nice time, quite like Barca.

why do you think that, douglas? These guys aren't graduates of the MI6 university of resisting questions; they're just religious fanatics who almost certainly haven't thought through the consequences of getting caught, since most of them intend to die. Being captured alive is a major disruption to their plans, and security forces ought to be aiming to milk them for all they can get.
Don't forget John Charles de Menezes.
