Seeing NoM posting about both food and her impending happy event prompted some musings ...

... it seems that the propensity (officially the AB word of the day) of celebrities to name their children after places of birth/conception has waned ... no more Brooklyn/Paris/Lourdes it seems.

I wonder if it might possibly be replaced by naming them after foods that mean something to the parents, as Diana Ross indeed did (although I may have misread the name Chudney) ...

... what would your kids be called if you named them after the food eaten just before their conception/birth?

sunny-dave's comment at 15.50made me think of the fact that Hitler was Irish and his name was Richard Murphy. He worked in the pratie (potato) fields and was known as Spud Murphy.

It was in Germany that he was given the nick-name..Dick Tater.

Hans.
can't remember about the older alba, but if cravings, MIL's soup,
the younger one would be chicken chow mein
If cravings are OK then sprog No. 1 would be Lemon Asparagus and No 2 would be Winegum Cornflake. Hmmm, no wonder they are as different as chalk and cheese!
