hi ive just found a dead mole in my garden but there are no holes or cats in the area any ideas where it came from it does not have any visual injuries

It might have been a cancerous mole, you should have got it checked out earlier by a qualified physician.
its a sort of reverse burial. we humans live on top of the earth until we die, and are then intered. moles however live underground until they die and are pushed to the surface by its fellows burrowers.
If it's none of the above, (I like it, Twain!), a mole's lifespan is only about three years. So old age is probably the answer.
Well i give it a go eh.
If there are no obvious holes from which it could have crawled, the logical assumtion is that it has been dropped by a bird, cat, or similar prediator. It may have died of fright, or even old age, hence the lack of marks.
Maybe its parachute didnt open
poisoned by neighbor crawled to your yard and died?
was casually walking across your lawn and had a heart-attack?
