Morning everyone :o)
Hope we all got our monsters off to school ok today and ready for another pleasant calm day once they return home from school :o)

Yes mycats i too really tried hard lastnight with my son cos I knew i was going to report on here at my progress. I treated him in a much more adult way, spoke to him how i would like to be spoken too and tried to keep cool over homework. bedtime was a bit tricky but was ok in the end and im so pleased i didnt shout once! I reckon the neighbours are wondering whats going on! hahaha

Tonight will be the same..will take them out to play footie or ride bikes, then back home for homework and tea...simple enuf i hear you all say! hahaha

Hope everyone else is enjoying the new parenting skills we are learning and supporting one another :o)

Hey Iz glad to hear you did so well, like I said my son and I played Bionicle last night and a boardgame :-) I am going to tidy his room today, cause I think maybe less chaos might help lol This is nice though isnt it? Helping each other out and being nice!
Well. I tried!!!

Saturday in bed & asleep by 8pm but he woke up at 5am

Sunday the same but slept until 10am

Last night - DISASTER it was after midnight again & up at 7am this morning!!....He's gone to Playgroup and I'm at work til 6pm but I hope my mum REALLY tires him out today!

AAAAGH!!

A xXx

it is so much nicer in here - B&S is getting way too weird
Oh Andea it's a nightmare eh? I cant get my boy to bed before 10.30 and even then he is awake in his room for hours. Thing is, he basically doesnt go to bed till I do, so I get no "me" time at night. We will crack this though lol :-)
My son is exactly the same - I can't remember the last time my husband and I just had a quiet night in front of the telly - without a 3yr old being wide awake & wanting to play!!

How old is your son? Is there an end to this anytime soon?

Hopefully it'll be better when he starts 'proper' nursery in September.

A xXx
lol I hate to say it Andrea, but my son is 10. It's my own fault, I let him away with it for years. We are gonna sit down tonight (all nice and calm) and write up a list of rules together. My mum says if he helps write it he will fell grown up and want to stick by them, gawd I hope she is right lol

my children are 9 and 12 and both go to bed by 9 every night.the way i achieved this miracle was to say that they could go to bed when they wanted but if they stayed up after the bedtime i decided upon they had to watch grown up tv ,eg panorama etc and have adult conversation no mucking about, and no snacks etc and if they stayed up they couldnt go to bed til i did and i warned them i would wake them if they dropped off they were so bored and tired after 3 nights i havent had any trouble since,a case of you know best kids, you wont listen so you better learn - dont know if it would work for anyoneelse
Oh dear :-( I just shouted at my son cause he asked for an egg sandwich and I was on puter, dammit! (dammit at me not him) so I'm gonna put this machine off now and talk to my son lol hope you are doing ok with yours Iz hopefuully catch up soon x
