The border is 1900 long.
So even if they completed a mile per day, the wall will still not be completed by the time he leaves.

They could built it smaller to finish it within his Presidency, but 'Trump's Kerb' doesn't sound very impressive.
I imagine what will happen is the existing fence will be extended, and in a couple of places become concrete for the President to stand in front of for TV cameras.

Oh and we'll get another 17 3T threads telling us how great it is :P.

The cost to build and maintain it will be prohibitive : Mexico will certainly not pay for it and even if it is somehow at least partially built it will be taken down again
This website says that the wall/fence could cost $6.5 million per mile to build, with the entire cost amounting to about $14 billion. Realistic or not?

The cost is open ended as it would need to be maintained for as long as it exists. With Mexico, of course, paying all that and yet still, according to the hippo, 'benefitting' ;-)

He will certainly create employment, apart from those employed to build it, there will be all those rebuilding the parts that the migrating Mexicans will blow up.
