Agency - yes
Downtrodden - possibly
Making a decent living .... well if you believe my local chaps then ... yes

They had time for a cuppa the other day - nice chaps who try very hard to deliver stuff as requested, so I offered a brew when the kettle was already on.

Regular work, better than most other delivery companies they said, and rounds that are 'achievable in the predicted time' (at least in semi-rural Northants).

I suspect it's much more cut-throat and pressurised in the big cities, but round here it's regarded as a decent gig.
the more i think about this, the more cross i am. They never offer me (a loyal prime customer) a discount on my yearly fee
My Amazon blokes always seem quite leisurely and cheerful. If its a heavy package, like the dog food, they always offer to bring it into the house or put it in the garage or whatever.
bednobs, could you do as dave has, cancel your membership and start a new one? The offer's open till tomorrow (it's on their homepage).
bednobs...it's a way of attracting new customers. It's just like insurance companies and broadband providers etc offering better deals to attract newcomers. The way of life, I'm afraid.
At £79 that's nearly a thousand quid a year!

You're having a laugh if you think I'm paying that.
Hopkirk, it's £59 a year. Thhousands of pence a year, though.
OK, I got it wrong, but I'm still not interested even at that price.
hey, I just knocked £900 off the price for you!

But yeah, I don't want it either; I've never needed anything in that much of a hurry. If I did, I could always pay a one-off instant delivery charge.
If I used all it offered I'd consider it a bargain, but I only buy occasionally and none of the other perks attract me - but I can see it's appeal for others.
I have taken up this offer as I buy a fair bit through Amazon, I was also drawn to the statement that I can share my membership with my wife, however once signed up it then became apparent that she doesn't get all the aspects of Prime, she cannot access the music without paying extra which seems a tad unfair to me
Reminder...if you are a Prime member and want to see Clarkson et al new vehicle "The Grand Tour"...episode 1 is available to watch today, with a new episode every Friday.
Me? Not a fan....so I'll pass!
