I took a longer than usual look at the above category.
Do the powers-that-be realise there are lots of very old, unanswered questions on there? This includes questions from last year's Christmas crossword puzzles!
This must slow the site down surely.
Can't they be deleted, (or at least marked as "answered"), after a while to help things "load" more quickly?

Hi

That shouldn't pose any issue. Have forwarded the comment to our Technical Team and they will look into it.

Thank you

Hi AB Ed - don't know if you'll pick this up, but in the 3 months since I posted this suggestion, the "unanswered" questions in Q & P has risen from 378 to 579 (at this specific moment). I keep looking in every Saturday, to see if I can help with these unanswered ones, and it just keeps building up with people saying "thank you"s, and not asking anything, in addition to the questions that are over 12 months old.

Do I take it that the Technical Team have decided not to bother with a little housekeeping, or is it more complicated than that?

Question Author
Unanswered questions in Q & P is now up to 664. I know it's likely to reduce, as people answer today's questions, but the number is just rising, and I for one have quite frankly given up bothering to look through for things to answer.
