I've been good all week, eating well, with fish and at least two pieces of fruit every day and remembering to take my vitamin supplements. I've also been getting some exercise and, perhaps most importantly, staying off the booze.
However it's Friday night, I'm wide awake and there's some beer in the kitchen.
Actually, there's a bit less in the kitchen now, as there's a full tankard on my desk.
As I said before, "So much for good intentions" ;-)
//So Much For Good Intentions // That's what you said Chris.
Well I was intending getting into bed by 1.00hrs and hearing the news headlines on Radio 4 . That's gone so I've poured another class of plonk from the box.
By the way, I enjoyed reading your poem. In fact it made me think that
I am past the Autumn of life and I think at 84 I must be a good way into Winter.
I'm glad you enjoyed my poem (even though I keep thinking of things which would have made it better!). With global warming, the seasons are changing, so perhaps you're still only in early autumn?
;-)
Enjoy your wine!!!!
>>> I think Autumn lends itself beautifully to poetry
Agreed, Mamya, although my poem deliberately tries to show the other side of autumn!
