Can anyone give me a link to a reputable website that contains a graph showing the turnout for the EU Ref by age. Not the proportion that voted in or out but the percentage of eligible voters that voted by age.
What difference does it make what age people were and what way they voted? The fact remains that the majority of those who voted voted to leave and now our new Prime Minister has taken this on board and formed an administration to tackle this with a view to obtain the best deal for Britain.
As the basis of voting is the anonymity there can never be any figures apart from surveys. Which means people can lie about how they voted and their age.
the estimate for under 25s was trumpeted at the time as 25% ( low )
and that was reset to 67% this week end (Times)
and the explanation is .... the 25% was an 'estimate'
in fact they had taken the figure from the 2015 general election and bunged it in as "estimated'' - [yes I found it incredible when I read it as well]
the 25% was closely linked with Brexiters who trumpeted that it was young people's own fault if they hadnt got out of bed and voted to stay .....
