Has anyone got any advice for relieving aching leg due to varicose vein? My daughter has one on the inner side of her leg, from the knee up. She got this from having her daughter who is 15 months now. Thanks.

Well you can lose weight, avoid standing for too long, wear a compression stocking etc, but my advice, particularly if the vein is prominent, is to see a vascular surgeon for treatment. Injections and minimally invasive surgery produces good results.

Thank you for your quick response squad. She's bought some horse chestnut cream from health shop today that someone advised her to get. My daughter definitely doesn't need to lose weight, she's too thin now!. She walks a lot. It isn't too prominent at the moment. Knowing my daughter, she will eventually pay to have surgical procedure. Just feel sorry she's having so much discomfort with it.
Forget the "chestnut cream"...go for the compression stocking as a first move. If that fails................surgery.
