today i wanted to watch something via apple tv but i cannot get the air play logo up on my iphone 4s. i know ts not an internet problem as ive got my phone in one hand and partners identical phone in the other showing air play. i know i can use hers but can one of you point me in the right direction to help me solve this please? i have turned the phone off and on a few times hoping for a reset but no luck as yet

Does Airplay show when you swipe up the Control centre?

If not, then go to Settings/Control Centre/ and click on Access on Lock Screen.

Thanks for your answers jomlett, it wasn't showing when I swiped the screen up but it's suddenly come back on its own just a minute or so ago. I haven't done anything so don't know what happened there
