my friend was talking tody about how she'd been looking for blancmange mix, which prompted a whole convo about "retro" food - food that you haven't eaten for aaaaages.
I'll add: evaporated milk; tinned steri-cream
do you have any foods you havent had for a long time?

Crumpets - we call them Pikelets here in East Midlands!
Home made bread and butter pudding and delicious egg custard my Mum used to make. Sadly all these yummy foods are "out of bounds" in our house now as we are constantly watching our weight :(
I had crumpets yesterday.
Crumpets toasted over an open fire, on a toasting fork!
A mug of hot Bovril for supper!
Mmm, some great memories/ideas on here. Though, I must say, retro food usually turns out to be disappointing. (and revolting)
Got a tin of (sweet) macaroni in the cupboard now. Must be 40+ years since I had that. When I tried semolina recently, it was most disappointing. (kinda bland)
Vesta Beef Curry.
