Salt in a lemon half. Lemon in fridge.
or a small pot of baking soda

You can get little things filled with charcoal in tesco or sainsburys. They look like blue eggs with holes in one end.

Failing that, a saucer full of charcoal will do the trick

thanks for all the tips I will use them

I was once told that an uncovered lemon can wreck a fridge, does something to the cooling thingy. So have never left one uncovered in the fridge let alone cleaned smells with it.

I always buy one of those things chazza is referring to and it last about 3 months and only cost a couple of quid and it's very effective

You know sometimes you do have to wash/clean inside the fridge and maybe this is one of those times, you can't cure everything by the ''cover the smell with something'' else system.
flpflop104 beat my to it, I saw this sollution whilst taking a peak in one of my mums magazines, which had a list of handy household tips. It said something like scoop out the flesh of half a lemom and fill with salt, I guess you could place it in a cup to keep it tidy.
