Don't eat if you really don't feel like it, but keep your fluid levels up. Something very light eg scrambled egg for when you feel a bit better.
If you don't feel like eating don't bother but stick with the fluids. If you feel you must try dry toast.

Thank you, being sick is my biggest fear so last night was a living nightmare for me!!
Don't push yourself if you don't feel ready for food yet.

When you do, BRAT is quite a good "motto", banana, rice, apple sauce or toast".

Just get lots of fluid down you and rest. Sucking on ready salted crisps is something I've done in the past.

Oh god not rice!! rice was what I threw up last night and I can still feel every grain hitting my throat!!

Bless hubby bought me a couscous salad - I turned green on the spot!
So, can we assume that you have no stomach pain or diarhhoea?
Can we also assume that although being sick this a.m you are just nauseous?
You presumably have no underlying medical disease and not taking any tablets?

Why on earth post on Chatterbank?
LOL sqad, you've been on form today xx
Come on Sqad cut some slack -Islay is 'new' on here....LOL!

No stomach pain, no underlying medical issues.

Apologies for posting in the wrong category.

I did have some pain in my chest area - right in the middle of the breast bone, that has gone now but it did stop me sleeping in between vomiting.
Islay.....now you make me feel ............guilty.

OK does sound like a winter virus and should only last about 2-3 days maximum.

As posters have said, make sure that you drink plenty and rest up.

Eating? a little of whatever you fancy.
Anyone for a saucer of milk, I'm sure there is room for two.....

If you are feeling nauseous, ginger has always worked for me, be it tea, a biscuit or whatever.
i think islay wants a spoonful of loving kindness. i´m sure ab has lots to spare.
^^^ jesus pass me a bloody ginger biscuit.....
seriously speaking, 4 a bad tummy, i tend to stick to cups of boiling water and dry toast.
Islay - never ever worry about not eating cos when you feel better your appetite comes back at an alarming rate - mine anyway.

What about a small bowl of cornflakes with real cold milk - that has helped me.
Dry toast an a little chicken soup(Not cream of)
Plain crisps or dry biscuits are what the docs round here suggest but tiny amounts (like one crisp or a bite of biscuit) then a rest then a little more. You might be better switching over to a non diet drink and drink it flat rather than fizzy.
