holiday insurance ?

can i get insurance that would cover me in the event of another volcano/ash cloud senario (or anything similar) ??? im booking my flights directly with the airline and my hotel directly with them to save a lot of money so wont get the atol protection that a travel agent would offer ??? thanks

The Post Office travel insurance was one of the ones who paid out for the ash cloud last year, however, any travel insurance bought since then is not covered as it is now a known threat. Whether that would cover any ash clouds from other volcanoes or not I don't know.
