Hi -
Just wondering roughly how long renewal passports take to come through?? Does it make a difference where you live? My boyf lives in London and hasnt had his back yet (sent 3 weeks ago) i sent off for a new one at the same time and mine is here!!!

It will probably turn up very soon (unless there's some sort of a problem). Three weeks is the time quoted by the Passport Service:

It will vary a little by where you live - but if one office gets really overwhelmed they will farm the work out to others to catch up.

As Chris says, your friend's will probably arrive any day.
Your local post office do a check and send service.
It costs �7, but when I used it, I had the passport back 8 days later.
my children have just renewed theirs over the last couple of months. one took 12 days the other 16 days - pretty impressive!
