With the prospect of another scorching summer can anyone recommend a holiday in a cold climate ( approc may to july )?

Or go to switzerland. It's lovely and cold ( -10�C some days) at the top of the mountains with lots of snow and so beautiful. Best area is around Interlaken but all the tourists know that too!!
Hmm I was in Alaska in July a couple of years back. The temperature was around 90 fahrenheit.

They said it was a bit unusual but not unknown
I'm off to New Zealand for 5 weeks.
Obvious places such as Finland, Greenland, Iceland all spring to mind. If you fancied a long-haul flight, how about Canada/Alaska and the Rockies?

Perhaps if you are feeling really adventurous you could try northern Russia! Might take a while to get there though...!
Canada in the summer is hot and humid, often 90F ++. Stays warm/hot at night. Come in the winter if you want a cold place!
