Hand Luggage

my wife s going to usa on th 23rd of aug by british airways.and she wants to carry some jwellery staff with her.for safety reason she wants to carry with her rather to put it into other luggeges.is that ok if she put those jwellery into a box nd then into a transparent bag.i'm very confused,nd its realy important for her to take all jwellery staff.please help me to get through this problem as soon as possible.

The situation will have clarified long before the 23rd.

At the moment it would HAVE to go in checked luggage or just possibly worn..

i would think the current way they are doing it is here to stay,and i would think you dont want to leave expensive items in your luggage,so the only real options are to wear it or leave it at home.
