i am going to majorca in august for 1 week but ive noticed my passport runs out in november do in need to renew my passport now

You can renew your passport when there is only 6 months left on it and the 6 months is added to your new passport. Contact your local passport office.

You don't need to renew - your passport is valid for this trip.

However it can be a good idea - for example if fees go up you will have it at the old rate.
