I am planning a trip to Paris for my wife and I and 18 month old. We are looking for a good hotel (4, maybe 5 stars) in the centre, near an underground station, good service, spacious rooms, good dining options. Any suggestions of where to try (or where not to try!).

We stayed at a Best Western (don't remember the name exactly at the moment) on Rue de General de Clerc in the Latin Quarter. It had red awnings....a nice enough hotel but remember the rooms are small in Europe. Don't believe you will find "spacious rooms" unless you want to pay a LOT of money. This hotel was immediately across from the Metro which is your easiest and best way to get around. There are millions of places to eat -- one restaurant in particular was called Sumai but I'm sorry I don't remember the location. Enjoy your trip.
