Quizmonster, this is a desperate plea for help from a fellow Scot

Here are some of the nominates.
Surely you're either a jam tart or a hibee.
Edinburghers, as far as I am concerned, John...that being pronounced with a hard 'g' sound, in the same manner as the people of Hamburg might be called Hamburgers! Cheers
As a west coastie who lives over here now I'd call them dour gits.
Awww...not all of us surely!

Cheers all,

I follow the Hearts mightyWBA but im more a rugby fan, kick3 mate im may be a wee big dour but im not a git.

kempie and Quizmonster, that was fantastic, thanks,I forgot about the ancient name for Auld Reekie (my Degree is modern history, not ancient) so I suppose im a Dunediner from Dunedin.

No no that cant be right, Dunedin is in New Zealand, back to square one

I am only joking of course. I've lived on this coast (very near Edinburgh) for 14 years now and have lots of good friends who are from the city, many of whom are not in the slightest dour, or gittish. But I'd say generally speaking, that folk from the capital are just a bit less friendly and warm than west coasties. But then I'm biased! Lilbertie and John, you both seem lovely, I'm certain you don't confrom to my sweeping stereotype! xx

Edingbronian's maybe?
