Not looking forward to dressing up every night. If we eat in the buffet section, do I need to wear a dress every single night and does OH have to wear a jacket?? Can I wear white Capri trousers with a nice top, and what to wear during the day on board? Thanks all.

well you could try going naked though the pics may appear in the Daily Wail or Mirror - or both.
Don’t fret, just observe other passengers. You will soon get into the swing of it. Happy cruising .
Smurf - Do check in advance, but as a rule, there are no dress restrictions for the buffet section on a modern cruise liner.

There are usually a couple of 'formal nights' in a week, where a tuxedo for men and an evening outfit for ladies is required if you are eating in one of the formal dining rooms, but otherwise, it's usually smart casual in the dining rooms, and jackets are not required.

During the day, you can wear what you like everywhere on board.
If you put your question into Google there are loads off pages offering info and advice on this specific ship, right down to the prices of drinks packages and tipping.

What a drag to be told what to wear on holiday - can't think of anything worse than being stuck in a tin can with a load of people you may not like and then having to abide by the protocols on board.
Lankeela - you are not 'told what to wear' - you have a choice to dress formally for the 'formal nights', or eat elsewhere from the formal dining rooms. The other six nights a week, you dress as you would for a nice restaurant at home.

Clearly a cruise is not something you would enjoy, but lots do, it's just about what you like to do, or not, on holiday.
Just wing it.
Ooops.
That's what you do on a flight.

Chill out, enjoy and just cruise along.
One piece of advice, don't wear socks with sandals and please don't wear a white hanky on your head : )
Smurf - If you don't want to 'dress up', why book a Cunard cruise?

There are other lines with no dress code, maybe consider one of those?
When you say "cruising" do you mean a cruise or the transatlantic crossing?
Sorry, misread. I was thinking of the QM2
09.23 hasnt cruising got another meaning?
^^dunno - ask Tom ?
I like dressing up on the formal nights. You can usually nab a few free drinks as the waiter's pass with the trays. ;-)

Yes piggynose, well spotted. You can do that on land as well as on a ship.
Cruising certainly as changed.
If you have to ask what to wear in certain situations on a cruise, then you shouldn't be cruising.
What's wrong with socks and sandals? And I'd sooner have a knotted handkerchief on my head than risk sunburn.
