It's very hilly with lots of steps, so stay near city centre - Baixa - if possible. Weather could be changeable temperatures from 23/18c, it rained a lot when we were there. I must admit it wasn't my favourite city but I'm quite sure we didn't find the nicest places as most people I know enjoyed it. It's a fair while ago now so I can't recall names of restaurants etc but remember eating well. Not much help I'm afraid:-)

The only ones I saw were the Belem Tower, the Jerónimos Monastery and the elevador; they were all good.

Oh here's another one

It's a good place just to stroll the streets

Lisbon is a fascinating place - lots of small tapas bars and historical sites/sights.

Just be very, very careful in crowds and particularly on the trams - the skill of the pickpockets is world leading and can ruin your holiday in a second.

This was a good place when I was there (some years ago), and still has good reviews :

If you like live music go to a bar where they do Fado music. You'll probably have to book in advance. Google 'fado lisbon' for venues.
Go out to Carcevelo for the fish/seafood restaurants along the Atlantic coast like A Pastorinha or Berrio - there's Cafe da Dizima a little further towards Lisbon at the Praia de Paco de Arcos. There's also Mar do Inferno at Cascais - all are not that far from the centre of the city.
Take a day trip to Sintra

Thank you all for the info. Will have a look. Watched Somebody Feed Phil Lisbon episode as well
Sintra is well worth a visit.
Definitely find some late-night live fado music
I wasn't all that keen on Portugal if I'm honest but the seabass was the best I've ever tasted and their Mateus Rosé taste far superior to the rubbish they send over here.
