No, I wouldnt. Happy to donate, but don't see any reason why they should be entitled to live in my house. There are hundreds of palaces and mansions in London owned by the Russians- send the Ukrainian refugees there!
That’s great, bobbisox. Why don’t you offer to take in a couple of Afghani refugees who are already here and still looking for homes?
I hate to say it, but no. I'm a very private...dare I say antisocial...person. I like my privacy and doing things to my own schedule. I'd not feel comfortable, and neither would they.
I'd like to think the government would sort that out.
I’m sure a few miles from all of us are homeless people. Take them .
Yes, in the short term I'd take in a family.

Clover , what I see is women and children ,the Ukrainian men are back fighting for their homeland , the Afghani men fled from theirs in as much as I feel sorry for all conflicts , my heart lies with those people of the Ukraine
I'm not in a position to be able do that.

I am helping where and how I can.
No, but you can have mine.
Mamya, that's all most of us can do at the moment. I give through the Salvation Army as I know it reaches where it should.
yes I would.
Yes if I had the room but I don't. But I have helped in other ways and will continue to do so as long as is necessary.
I really dislike having folk to stay and I really hate staying with other folk but for this...yes I would.

We have a great book shop in the village and we craft in there too so it's home from home for me.
When I called in yesterday the ...always prepared with more energy that anyone I know... lady who runs it asked me for help choosing children's and adult's books in Ukrainian and translated books by Ukrainian authors for when and if we host refugees and will I help with crafting days.
She speaks Irish....I speak English...well except for the sweary Irish words and a few songs...so it could be fun.... :-)
I would if I had a property large enough. I'll rry to help in other ways.
I would but my house is overcrowded by the proper standards
Yes
No I wouldn't take them into my home. But would give money to help support them in whatever government / local councils could offer in the way of accommodation.

There must be hundreds of empty building around the country that would be OK along with a quick makeover.
Anything is better than what they are experiencing at the moment. We should be looking into this option now. The big concern is how on earth is the NHS going to cope when they can't cope with our own population. Very worrying indeed. Pity they have already dismantled the hospitals they built for covid .
Yes, i would be more than happy to help out someone in genuine distress, unlike some of the ones coming over the channel illegally.
Absolutely not.

We should not be encouraging any more people to come to the UK. We do not have the accommodation for them but most importantly our public services (particularly the NHS) are under extreme pressure and cannot cope with those already here. Every service (both public and private) that anybody needs is under pressure. Schools are full; hospital waiting lists are at record levels; you can’t get any building or maintenance work done for months. Plainly and simply the country is unable to cope with any more people. It may have been different if successive governments had not encouraged the world and her husband to settle on these shores over the past two or three decades. We may have had a bit more room if the chancers, seeking succour and safety from the perils they face living in northern France, had not been allowed to make their way unhindered in their thousands to Kent. But we are where we are. First come first served and unfortunately the Ukranians have lost out.
I've never thought much of you New Judge but I didn't think you'd sink this low in my estimation...not that you'll care what I think because you care little about anyone else but your selfish self.

Encouraging more to go to the UK? Ukrainians are not being encouraged. They are now without a home on this earth and in desperate need of help and love.
Thank god you are in the minority.
