Just done it.
Either I'm going deaf or nobody bothered around here. A fortnight ago I was dozing on the settee when the clapping woke me up. (I did struggle off to join in). Last week I was sitting at my computer when I heard the noise outside and joined in at the end. However I've heard nothing tonight.
Been out, pans banging ,whistling and my window is full of flashing fairy lights
Very subdued tonight.
Nothing tonight down my street!!! Think it's been done to death.

They're talking about having a virtual clap for the Queen on her birthday!!
Dont see the point (anymore)
Giving a big clap isnt the same as providing PPE.
Just a gesture now!
Clapped out. All the neighbours look like they have had a holiday in Barbados. All tanned and on top form. I took my football rattle out.......
Oops...I forgot
Though I didn't hear anything when I came downstairs at a few minutes past 8.
Each week this comes up and anyone that doesn't see the point does get a bit of a lashing. I tend to agree with Nailit. To be honest when I did do, it seemed more of a chance for the neighbours to smile and wave at each other than the original purpose.
Noisier down my street than normal... they're a bit slow to catch on round here....
>>> I tend to agree with Nailit

Likewise. (I only joined in for the past two weeks so that my neighbours couldn't say what a grumpy old g*t I am - but they know that already anyway!)
PS: It also occurred to me that an NHS worker whose shift pattern means that they're trying to sleep at 8pm on a Thursday might not be too pleased to be woken up!
I’m not bothered who does and who doesn’t, got to the individual choice
The trombone bloke that lives a few doors away from me had his electric guitar out tonight instead.
A bigger turnout tonight with more kids out with pots and pans and happy, smiling neighbours. About 6.30 pm we heard a lot of clapping and singing outside and we thought someone got the time wrong.
When we came out at 8.00pm our immediate neighbour told us that it was a 50th birthday party and the grand kids had turned out to wish Gran a happy birthday with balloons etc. Another neighbour called out the police to disperse the party. The police, apparently were Ok about it and the party stayed on to incorporate the 8.00pm appreciation with everyone else, except the neighbours who dobbed them in. :-(

We took a saucepan and spoon each. Only our next door neighbours didn't join in. It's nice to see people out and about, knowing they are well and able to be outside. It gives me hope.

Goodness knows how Graham and Carole are.

" To be honest when I did do, it seemed more of a chance for the neighbours to smile and wave at each other than the original purpose."

Prudie I think that was the original unstated purpose...to draw communities together and engender a "we are all in this" spirit.
Graham and Carole ?
There were quite a few out here, hardly any fireworks this week which is good.
