Ironing flat. If you put rolls of whatever into a trunk, you get some wasted space between the rolls. Ironing flat uses all the available space.

Nelly is very good at trunk packing I believe!

If you're homeless sleep outside an Apple store. If a copper tries to move you on say you're in the queue for the new iphone 7
do you mean a trunk? I didn't think anyone travelled in such style any more.
I'm a roller, in the end you'll have less creases then flat packed ironed stuff.
PS, the quickest way to pack is to be on an oiltanker and be told that your husband's relief is coming Gulf inbound not Gulf out and you have got 20 minutes to pack for both of you, everything that was needed for a four month trip. I GUARANTEE you will never ever pack faster!
I roll, but I am not bothered about whether I look ironed or not; when one is crossing the Andes by frog, it is the least of one's worries. No wasted space between rolls if you cram everything in properly.

But if you're going to be circumnavigating the globe in a Cunarder, by all means get your valet to iron everything flat and lay it out nicely in your trunk, and hang it properly when you board.
true, woofgang, ideally one should just put one's closet on a trolley and wheel it aboard, perhaps with one's lady's maid hiding inside it.
