Begins today at 1.30, a race not included in the ITV7 - which carries a Jackpot of £10K.

That begins at 2.05, with 3 more races from the 'Roodee' and 3 from Kelso.

The feature race is the Chester Vase, but there is also a listed race (Cheshire Oaks) before it in which Daddy O'Brien goes head to head with O'Brien Jnr.

While the Chester meeting provides us with some class racing, it is Kelso where the handicaps are to be found for us small-stakes punters.

Best of luck, any and all punters.

Quick punt done Ken. ITV7 and

Call Glory  @33/1  1.30Ch
Legal Reform @12/1 4.456CH
E/W Double and Singles.

Question Author

I 'toyed' with going for Legal Reform, Togo. I may stick it in a F/c with mine😉

Question Author

And i can't believe my fav trainer has just had the opener, drawn widest of all - some price, too.

Lady Lightning @9/2  2.05Ch
Kings Merchant @11/4 2.35Ch
Port Fairy  @15/2  3.05CH
Hidden Law  @11/4  3.40Ch
E/W Acca. Win Trebles & Doubles

With those 4.   Sea God, Raceview Rd, Call Me Jack. @Kelso.

Same thoughts as you Ken I ignored it because of the stall 13 draw and the horse being only an inexperienced 3yr old. Very well ridden by Nolan who came across to the rail at the start and then had a cheeky dash up the inside on the fast tight bend. He rode the course just like Pat Eddery.

Question Author

And yet, Togo, had i been at the course, i would have definitely had an e.w. punt on it. But when i go racing, my 'gambling bank' is always bigger than when i'm sat at home.

Question Author

Just the one winner, Lily Du Berlais, but i did manage a forecast with Call Me Jack and Faithful Flyer (i also have a Faith in the family).

Question Author

The 1.50 at Huntingdon opens today's ITV 7, followed by 4 races from Chester and 2 from Gowran Park???

The Jackpot is £10K.

Question Author

As one would expect, i've thrown some shrapnel at Vintage Clarets in the opener at Chester (@ 8/1) - a race in which few of the runners meet more than a couple of the stats criteria. Last 11 winners have all been drawn between 1 and 4, and highest weight carried in this race in the last 20 years is 9-5, so VC (drawn 5 and carryig 9-10) has no chance - but i'd be kicking myself if it did.

1.50 Hun;  Kay Tara Tara @ 10/1 - 5 places

2.18 Bri;    Firenze Rose @ 11/1 - 4 places

3.53 Bri;    Calshot Spit @ 5/1 - 4 places

4.10 Che;   Pearl Eye @ 20/1 - 5 places (£1 e.w.)

20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £147, 4 winners = £27,989.

ITV7; Kay Tara Tara, Rashabar*, Victor's Choice, Never So Brave, Manhattan Dandy, God's Window* and Arrest*. £1 e.w. acca.

* denotes Trixie/Treble for a poss £248.

Also had an e.w. punt on Ferrobin @ 33/1 (5 places) 1.50 Hunt.

Best of luck, all.

Nothing much to fancy in the ITV7 for me Ken. Beenn a tad busy in the garden getting things sorted. Just done a quick e/w Trixie at Chester and off out. Judging by yesterdays crowd at Chester interest looks low for everyone. No Koukash either. Good Luck all.

Copper Knight @12/1  1.30, Al Rufaa  @14/1 4.10, Glistening Nights  @12/1  4.50.

Question Author

Well, so much for the stats. Fav won carrying 9-12, with VC either 2nd or 3rd along with Copper Knight - the 3 drawn 2, 5 and 4.

Question Author

Today's £10K ITV7 begins with the 1.50 Ascot, then takes in 4 from Chester and 2 from Market Rasen.

All i had to show from yesterday's efforts was an e.w. place. I did mange a couple of winners last night, but i still finished the day in the red.

Just finished having a look before I go out Ken. Why are we at Markret Rasen for a novice hurdle race? Makes no sense with the flat underway? Ah well. I have done a speculative punt at long odds from the handicap races that deserve attention.

***E/W Acca, Trebles, Doubles & Singles.
Revich @17/2  1.30Ch*
Forza Orta  @17/2  3.40Ch*
Flavour Maker  @10/1  4.00Asc*
Baez  @10/1  4.14Ch*

ITV7. Accumulate, Mr Hampstead, Can't Resist It, Box to Box, Beat the Edge, Passenger + Forza Orta.

Good Luck if you have a flutter.

Question Author

Best of luck with those, Togo, particularly Baez and Box To Box😉.

2.35 Che;  Box To Box @ 11/2 - 4 places

3.30 Asc;  Dream Composer @ 7/1 - 4 places

3.40 Che;  Grand Providence @ 15/2 - 6 places

4.15 Che;  Baez @ 9/1 - 6 places

4 x £2 wins, 20p L15, 2 x £1 e.w. accas. 4 placed = £64, 4 winners = £9,071.

ITV7; above qualifiers, plus Dragon Leader, Epherus, Can't Resist It, Titanium Bullet & Israr. £1 e.w. acca.

There are enough decent handicaps for me to 'find' another L15 bet, so i'd better get on with it.

Good luck, all.

Question Author

And if Pete65 pops in, City Of Troy backed in to 4/12 jt fav with Arabian Crown for the Derby.
