My Friend is going to Sharm El Sheikh in September and is worreid about the dress code. When you are out of your hotel complex should your shoulders and ankles be covered or do they not mind? Thanks

Sharm is now a very cosmopolitan resort, waayyy past the stage of bothering about covered ankles & shoulders.

Most tourists dress in a similar manner to any Mediterranean resort.

Agree with scubadiver, but on my visit [may 2005] we went to St Catherines monastery, and I had to cover my knees - suggest long trousers/skirt, as well as good shoes.
