she designed the british team uniforms for the olympics
she's been doing it a while....and is allright, really....x
Designing the Team GB Olympic kit, being at the forefront of British fashion and supporting British industry might have something to do with it I suppose.
Why should anyone get an award?

Is being "alright" enough to deserve an Honour?
i agree why should she get an honour she dosn't save live's or look after someone who is terminally ill my neighbour and her daughter nursed her husband at home who was dying sat with him day and night and nursed him and looked after him very well till he passed away they didn't get any recognition from the honours list
I agree pugthedog. Im still trying to fathom out why Cherie Blair got an award too!
pug you could have nominated them and so could everyone else in your street, did you do that?
here you are, you can nominate them for the birthday honours it's not too late

//She only designs clothes//

And Bradley Wiggins only rides a bike...and Trevor McDonald only reads the news....and Sean Connery only acts....and Bobby Charlton only played football....need I go on?
Here's the full list http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/honours-list/8985135/New-Year-Honours-2012-full-list-of-recipients.html and you'll see that quite a lot of people get gongs for simply doing their job.

One at random - Professor Robert Owen Jones gets an OBE for services to safeguarding the Welsh language in Argentina . That's really deserving of an award.
and your a blue toffe, tight ;-)
and you'll see that quite a lot of people get gongs for simply doing their job. blimey, yes you do!
I agree with you Ark, that's why they should be abolished. Generally, people who deserve them never get them, and people who get them don't deserve them.
the part-time gardener at Highgrove House received the Royal Victorian Medal for being a part-time gardener, not even full-time
A bit like AB Badges then, bibble.....
don't be sarcastic Dt they're much sought after.
I remember Margaret Thatcher deciding her milkman was to get one too! That really surprised me at the time.
I wonder if the designer of the Team GB kit hadn't had a famous dad, whether they would have received an honour? Mmm.
I wonder if the designer would have been famous in the first place without a famous dad.
