does anyone know of an insurance company that would cover a person of 83 driving a scooter.  The gentleman in question is an artist who would like to continue painting in the countryside but needs transport to travel locally.   He was covered until a few years ago when the insurance company he had used for many years folded  and he is now unable to find anyone to cover him.

Try Churchill, the AA or maybe even direct line, but don't try the one with the michael winner ads, they charge high premiums for older drivers.
carolenash.com worth a try.Specialist in two wheel insurance
Can but ask.
I would have thought SAGA would do it.
My Mum and Mum in law are both with Age Concern insurance, as it does great rates for over 60's.
Agree with Derekpara, try Saga.com, I arranged my fathers car insurance through them, they were cheaper than any other firms we tried.
My mother was with SAGA for a little while until the primums rocketed higher than other companies.

Although she cancelled 3 years ago she still gets the glossy brochures sent to her saying they'll beat any quote, yeah right.
