I don't think all kids are like that it's lack of parential control. Something should be done to bring these kids in line along with their parents (however good they think they are). A good whack wouldn't go amiss.
Why is it that people who have 'whacked' their children think that it is this whacking that has kept their children on the straight and narrow!!
Parenting is not about whacking. Discipline is not about whacking. Whacking is about parents losing their temper.
I am really fed up at the moment at the amount of venom that is being spilled out on AB about young people and 'the youth of today'. I have been trying to avoid these threads as much as possible.
I see as much bad behaviour in adults as I do in the young!!

Why is it that people that haven't "whacked" think that it is the absence of "whaking2 that keeps them on the straight and narrow?
Why do the anti corporal punishment group weaken their argument (in my opinion) by using such terms a "whacking, thrashing and beating?" when they know full well that it is inflammatory and adds nothing to the debate.

I have known several incidents of anti-social behaviour from youths. The only way it stopped was when people bigger and stronger confronted them and said (quietly without resorting to swearing or shouting) physical harm would come to them if it continued.
It stopped immediately and no force was needed.
People need to come across as strong and confident.
