1st time since last june, couple things had changed,
1. a new 20 pound note
2. Lloyds now owns the halifax!!(my bank) does anyone know if there´ll be any drastic changes?

Anyway, if you were around last June, Lloyds TSB already owned HBOS (trading as 'Halifax'). The takeover was in September 2008. (Perhaps you've been travelling in time, as well as in space?)

There shouldn`t be any drastic changes. The Halifax brand will probably stay separate from the Lloyds tsb brand. Santander have taken over everyone and are going to take over Royal Bank of Scotland soon. Before you know it you have all your eggs in one basket.

sorry chris i thought you were aware of my whereabouts at present. i´m living in madrid, and for the foreseeable future.
just done a search regarding the halifax, it said they were acquired by lloyds in 2009.
was given a couple of booklets to peruse over.
