The man next to me stinks

I’m using the computer in the public library and the person next to me stinks so much that I feel sick. The man is obviously a dropout and is a regular in the library. When he leaves the staff instantly get the air fresher out. I know that people have complained about him. Do you think that the staff should tell him about his personal hygiene and if he doesn’t do any thing about it should he be banned from the library.

is that allowed? If so I'm going to have words with every bus driver in Merseyside who let on the smelly bastards who end up sat next to me, without fail!
They should have a designated area on public transport for people who've just had a fag and still stink of stale smoke!
They should definitely tell him.
The scruffy sod! Ask to be moved to another computer or you will be sick! Oh and don't be discreet either. Let him hear you, shame him into that bath!
If he smells that bad, why did you sit there and type this question out??? I'd have got up and gone!!!
It's a difficult one ....... human rights and all that rubbish. There used to be a woman who shopped in Sainsbury's near where I worked and the stench from her could be detected in an aisle after she had left it. The staff said they had been instructed to 'ignore' it rather than create an incident.
''what does he stink of?''

I'm guessing ''stinks so much I feel sick'' might be an indicator that it's not pleasant...

i don't stink and i can read every word you are typing in
if he is a regular why not give him a bar of soap and some deodorant next time
... or a dead rabbit in his underwear... not unusual round these parts...

Difficult, because it's not private property. If he were to go into an independently owned shop, the staff or proprietor would have every right to refuse admission. It happened to me a few years back and I stopped the guy in the doorway. He didn't argue and just walked off.

He came in after me. But thank god he has gone now .He stinks of very bad BO and other body odours.
Not unusual in any parts that's snags is visiting to be fair.
Not uncommon in public libraries - somewhere for down-and-outs to keep warm in winter. The same happens now with free Senior Bus Pass holders. I was on a bus the other day when one got off to relieve himself behind the bus shelter - the driver wisely drove on.
There was a couple of people where I work that had serious BO problems. They were advised and now they don't smell.
Move over chuck, I need to use that monitor...
