Hi there

I am sure I have heard about a scrappage system for TV's. You can get upto £150 off a new telly. Anyone know the link to this - or the company doing it.

Cheers in anticipation.

I think it was Sony but don't quote me on that.
Yes it is Sony, depends on the size of tv you want, £150 applies to the larger tvs. They are also give you money off old dvd players etc. Not sure if the offer still applies but check on the John lewis site because they were doing it, if not try Sony.
It's only a gimmick because people like to think they getting somrthing for their old TV and it generates more sales than saying £150 off. They would give you the same for your old toothbrush to get a sale. It does depend on the value of the TV you are buying and whether it's an older model also the time of the year. Summer is a quiet time for TV sales so its the best time to buy. However not just before the World Cup. Wait a month and there will be plenty of bargains around.
