I've just bought the new full version Microsoft Office Professional 2010. I cuurently have Office 2007 installed on my PC and my Word files are stored as .docx and .doc. The file extensions are exactly the same in the 2010 version.
When I install the new version, will the software give me the option to retain the Word files on my PC? I don't want to lose any of the stuff I have on there already. Are other saved files such as .pub kept too?

Thank You

installing a different version of office will not effect any other files on your PC.
It is just going to change the program files, not delete your data. The new version can read the old files.
