I've just tried to view a couple of things on Youtube on my laptop and then my husband's PC. Both show very juddery pictures and sound. The PC shows about 5 seconds of sound and picture and then freezes for about 10 seconds. What could be causing it and can it be fixed?
Thanks

it's called buffering, it's because your internet speed can't keep up with whats required to play the video.

start the video, click pause, wait a few minutes and you should see a red bar in the play position indicator keep going up, when it gets to the end it's finished loading the video so hit play again.

Yayyyy, Chuck. It works! Well, I never knew THAT!!!! I must have been watching really slow videos with not much content in the past.

You learn something new every day don't you?

So as long as the red dot stays moving behind the pale red line, you're OK?

Thanks for that.

Yep that's about it :)

if it's been fine for you previously then you might either be watching a much higher quality video this time, or your internet might just be having a bad day :)
