I notice that some are reluctant to answer my queries on the Technology site, I can only hazard a guess that it is because I am not very popular with some on the news topic site.
If this is so, it is such a pity that some consider their differences of opinion (in what is after all only lively debate) so upsetting, that it prevents them from offering out an helping hand when it is needed.

I rarely look in news so couldn't care less if your liked or not there...
You are more likely to find that if people don't answer your questions it's either because it's been asked in a bad way and people aren't sure of the meaning, or (and I know shouldn't do this really... but we all do!) I will look at a question and know the answer, but also know it's going to be really hard work to get the answer across to another person so skip over it.
I don't normally even bother to look at the OP's name on a lot of questions in technology... if it's a sensible question and I can then I will answer it regardless of the person asking.

Git ... I think all the answers are on the nail .... but speaking for myself sometimes I just feel cranky ... or lazy ... and just can't be bothered answering ... or I'll just poke it with a stick (a troll's work is never done!)
and yes ... I do tend to stay away from a couple of the idiots (hi cam).
but generally if I do strop ... it's only for a day.

it's not a site I'm familiar with - and given my natural suspicion ... not a site I was going to try ...
