Ya know 4get I often wonder that too. On Sunday morning @ work, they are there beating on the door at 7.45 to get in the place to buy their papers. I'm so tempted to say to them, once I focus my bleary eyes that is "Ye God's, why aint you still in bed?"

i know its not early early but when i start work at the pub on saturday its always the old codgers who are banging on the door at 11, come in have a couple of pints then off they go leaving me to an afternoon of football hooligans, i know which ones i prefer!

We don't need as much sleep cos our brains are shrinking ( or so 'they' say ).....and we do not need the sleep for cell growth. Besides,being grumpy requires a big investment in time as does plodding to the shops with our zimmers!

No way will I get up early when Im an oldie. I am so looking forward to staying in bed half the day when I retire :D

My papa used to get up at 5 so he could get into the fish market to get the best stuff for his fish and chip van and he never got out of the habit.
He was such a stickler for punctuality too. If you said you'd pick him up at four, he'd be standing by the window with his jacket on from about twenty to four and if you weren't there by 5 to you were late!
