Can anyone please help . I had the internet via a Belkin router on my laptop but it has suddenly gone. All I get is that it says the connection is excellent but it sticks continually searching saying aquiring network address.
Do you know what I should do as I can't access the ip address bit to put that in again?

Have to tried repairing the connection BigMamma? Go to the little picture of a PC at the bottom right hand side of your screen, right click, then select Repair.

I assume you've tried rebooting your laptop and resetting your router box?

Thankyou for your swift helpful answer mr-wonderful , I have tried rebooting and turning off the router , but I will certainly try that repair instruction and let you know how I get on. :-) xx

Thankyou for your answer neil .I have tried what seems everything but to no avail. My sons lappy picks up from the router with no problems and yet my lappy won't . It now says the password is invalid and yet it's the correct one as my sons lappy is ok ,as I said. :-(
