Can an energy saving light bulb be used in a bathroom where the switch is a pull? I know you can use them with dimmer switches but I'm not sure about the pull switch that's usually in a bathroom.

the pull switch is the same as a flick switch,it got a cord on it to pull so's not to be near the power supply if your hands are wet etc
i don't think you can use low energy with dimmer switches as they are fluorescent.
Bathroom yes
dimmer - no

Can energy savers be used with a dimmer switch?
Unfortunately there are no compact fluorescent energy savers available on the UK market that can be dimmed using a standard domestic dimmer. There are dimmable ones available in the US but the technology used is not compatible with all of the types of dimmer which are used here so these are not manufactured for the UK market. Energy savers can be installed successfully with most types of rotary dimmer (not the touch plate variety or remote control ones) but only if the dimmer is left full-on all the time. If you are considering buying a number of energy savers for use with dimmers which are to be left full-on then please try one before placing an order for several.

Thanks, deggers316 and ACtheTROLL. I just need to use the bulb in the bathroom. This has set my mind at rest.
